Ogbeh diligently served Nigeria – Abbas

President of the Chamber of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Sunday, described as shocking the disappearance of a former president of the Consultative Forum of Arewa (ACF), the head of the Audu Ogduh, who passed away on Saturday, at the age of 78.

The speaker Abbas described Otukpo, the head of state Benue Ogbeh as an elderly statesman who spent most of his life in the diligence service in Nigeria and the people.

The speaker Abbas, in a message of condolences on Sunday through his special councilor for the media and advertising, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, observed that not many Nigerians had the privilege of serving the country as the Ogbeh head.

While recalled how Ogbeh had been a public employee since the late 70s, the speaker said that Kate Elder’s statesman occupied various offices in the executive and legislative weapons of the government at state and federal level in his life.

“In the second Republic, the Ogbeh chief was vice-president of the Benue State House of Assembly in 1979. He was also the Federal Minister of Communications (1982-1983) and subsequently the Minister of Development of the steel until a coup d’état ended La Repubblica in December 1983.

“In the Third Republic, the Ogbeh chief was a member of the National Constitution Conference Commission (1993) and the National Reconciliation Committee (1995).

“In the fourth republic, the Ogbeh head was a founder of the popular Democratic Party and was the national president of the PDP between 2001 and 2005”, adding that the Ogbeh head was subsequently appointed minister of agriculture and rural development (2015-2019) by the deceased president, Muhammadu Buhari among others, the fact
