Ola Aina names Rashford as Dream Super Eagles teammate

The defender of Super Eagles, Ola Aina, has revealed that he would have loved to see Marcus Rashford play for Nigeria, stating that the striker would have been a “fantastic” addition to the national team.

Aina, who has been a key figure for both Nottingham Forest and the Super Eagles, spoke during an interview shared by ESPN UK.

When he was asked what international from England he wanted was Nigerian, the lateral versatile chosen between Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford before finally deciding on Rashford.

“Saka or Rashford … I think Rashford is a crazy dynamic,” Aina said. “It’s fast and direct, as we play in Super Eagles. I think Rashford would be a good addition.”

Born in Manchester of Jamaican and Kittitian parents, Rashford has never had Nigerian roots, but his style and style have often made African fans wonder how he would have prospered playing for a team like Nigeria.

Marcus Rashford, currently lent from Manchester United to Aston Villa for the rest of the season, remains one of the brightest talents in England.
