The Osun State Government says the son of Governor Ademola Adeleke, singer of B-Red, has escaped what the Commissioner for Information and Public Information, Kolapo Alimi, has described as an “assassination attempt” in Osogbo.
In a statement dated April 30, 2026, Alimi said the incident occurred around 3.30pm on Wednesday in Oke-Fia, near Government House.
The commissioner said the hoodlums, suspected to be led by a man identified as Asiri Eniba, attempted the attack.
B-Red, whose real name is Adebayo Adeleke, said he was driving near Alekuwodo market when the accident started.
“While I was going out to buy something at Alekuwodo market, I saw some Okada cyclists wearing AMBO caps trying to surround my vehicle at a traffic spot under the Okefia Bridge. As we were trying to go out, we saw a white Toyota Venza coming towards us with a shout of “it’s him; It’s him.”
He said the situation quickly turned into a chase.
“As we moved, the Toyota Venza chased us, trying to block my jeep. At the same time, several motorcycles also joined the chase. The chase continued until we arrived at the gate of Osun State Government House, Oke-fia.
“We have identified one of the occupants of the vehicle as Asiri Eniba, a known APC thug.”
