Over 2,000 students enroll in the holidays of the holidays of the Tola Adebajo Foundation in Ijebu Igbo

More than 2,000 secondary school students enrolled in the 2025 holidays coaching program organized by Tola Adebajo Foundation (TAF), since the interested parties of the community have renewed the demands of stronger partnerships to increase the educational sector of Nigeria.

The initiative, which began this week at the Anglican elementary school in St. James, Atikori, Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, recorded its highest turnout from the beginning, representing a 35 % increase compared to last year.

Project coordinator, Hon. Femi Oluyemi, said that the growing participation underlined the growing impact of the program, which was introduced three years ago to provide academic support and maintain students busy during the long holiday.

Oluyemi urged the Nigerians to integrate the government’s efforts into the reform of education, underlining that private projects led by the community were essential to fill the gaps and ensure that no child was left behind.

“Education should not be left exclusively in the hands of the government. Partnerships with individuals, foundations and well -intended organizations can provide resources, close the existing gaps and allow children to pursue excellence,” he said.

The four -week coaching program focuses on fundamental topics such as mathematics, English language and sciences, which also incorporate extracurricular activities including sports, cultural display and creative writing.

Oluyemi has attributed the increase in the positive results of previous editions and greater awareness within Ijebu Igbo and the nearby communities.

He also praised teachers and voluntary facilitators – towed from the inside and outside the city – for their dedication to the growth of students.

“Education remains an important tool for the Empowerment and our Foundation is committed to having a lasting impact on young people,” he added.

The program will end with an evaluation exercise and a closing ceremony, in which exceptional students will be recognized for their performance and participation.
