Simon Ekpa Spears in the Finnish Court on Terrorism Allegations

A faction leader from the Biafra Indigenous People (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, on Friday stabbed in the Päijät-Häme District Court on Friday for the preparation hearing on his allegations of terrorism.

EKPA was arrested by the Finnish security agency with the other four in November last year due to incitement for financing violence and terrorism in the southeast of Nigeria.

Prosecutors accuse that activists used social media to promote violence in the southeast.

They sought a six -year prison sentence for EKPA, who declared himself as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Biafra Government in exile.

The state prosecutor, Sampala Hakala told the local news platform of Finland, Yle, they had substantial evidence of EKPA for their online activities.

“We have a lot of evidence about the activities and online communication of this individual,” he said.
