The arrest of the police 184 suspected internet fraudsters in Delta

Police operations in Delta have arrested 184 alleged internet fraudsters in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, revealed this to journalists on Thursday at Warri.

He said the suspects were arrested on Monday by police operations attached to the EKPAN division along with several personnel from the Nigerian Army.

According to him, the suspects were arrested in their hiding places in the post -housing housing environment, Effurang, in the UVWie Regional Government in the state.

Edafe said: “On July 21, 2025, the EKPAN division operations, acted based on credible intelligence and in a joint effort with the Nigerian Army, carried out a coordinated attack.

“The attack was carried out at the location in the post -housing housing, Effurang where allegations of internet fraud and terrorism financing activities occur.

“This operation resulted in the arrest of 184 suspects involved in activities related to online fraud.

“Exhibitions include 273 various kinds of laptops, 97 smartphones, one iPad, one table phone, nine laptop charging and two Wi-Fi routers were found from the suspects.”
