Speaking hours after insisting that there was no legal basis for the dissolution of their union — citing that they were never legally married — Churchill expanded on the factors he said strained the relationship.
He rejected claims that Meurer played a significant role during his highly publicized feud with his ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh, arguing that such support was not unique. According to him, anyone in his position could have done the same thing.
Addressing long-standing allegations surrounding the origins of their relationship, Churchill rejected suggestions that Meurer was friends with Dikeh or had “usurped” another woman’s husband. He described the claims as the product of online speculation and not verifiable fact.

“From the start, the dominant narrative online was that he took someone else’s partner and was friends with that person. That’s not accurate,” he said. “She was never friends with Tonto, and Tonto herself never said anything like that before I met Rosy.”
Churchill argued that the persistence of these narratives created significant emotional tension, particularly for Meurer, and contributed to tensions in the relationship.
Despite the situation, he said his priority remains addressing unresolved issues and fostering unity among his children, with a focus on maintaining strong family relationships.
