The Rangers Foundation is preparing to collaborate with the Kunie Foundation to promote social impact and community development in the Iva Valley

The Rangers International FC Foundation will partner with the Kunie Foundation to promote social impact initiatives and community development programs targeting children and youth in Iva Valley, Enugu State.

On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, representatives of the Kunie Foundation, led by its Communications Officer, Uchenna Igboeme, paid a courtesy visit to the corporate office of Rangers International FC to discuss areas of collaboration aimed at empowering youth and promoting sustainable community development.

The Kunie Foundation is a non-governmental organization with operations in Enugu and Abuja, dedicated to educating children, promoting community development and creating opportunities for youth in disadvantaged communities in Nigeria.

In her opening speech, Uchenna Igboeme said the foundation’s core mission is to inspire children and youth living in disadvantaged communities to dream beyond their circumstances and pursue meaningful opportunities.

“At the Kunie Foundation, our passion is to create impact and help young people realize their dreams. Our interventions focus on healthcare, education, social justice and economic empowerment. We see the Rangers Foundation as an organization that shares similar values ​​around community development and believe this partnership will help us engage and empower young people in the Iva Valley through sports and other development programs.”

Speaking further, Foundation Chief Financial Officer Kunie noted that many children in local communities struggle with low self-esteem, a challenge that often limits their potential and aspirations.

“Through our community engagement, we have found that many children struggle with low self-esteem. We want to help these children discover themselves through sport and education. That’s why we seek to partner with the Rangers Foundation to harness and nurture talents beyond formal education, helping them become confident and productive members of society.”

Responding on behalf of the Rangers International FC Foundation, the President, Coach Ebere Amaraizu, reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to creating significant social impact in communities and educational institutions through initiatives such as Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Kick Out the Limit, sports intervention programs and other youth-focused projects.

He welcomed the Kunie Foundation delegation and expressed optimism about the proposed collaboration, assuring that the partnership will be formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Also speaking, the representative of the Legal Department of the Foundation, Favor Ogbodo, commended the leadership of the Rangers Foundation under the leadership of Coach Ebere Amaraizu for its unwavering commitment to community development. He also commended the Kunie Foundation for its commitment to youth empowerment and expressed confidence that the partnership will deliver impactful results in line with the Enugu State Governor’s disruptive and innovative development agenda.

The proposed partnership is expected to harness the power of sport, education and social development to create opportunities for children and young people in the Iva Valley, enabling them to realize their full potential and contribute positively to society.
