The Sage Charity Foundation has reiterated its commitment to promoting inclusive and quality education through the distribution of school supplies to 40 deserving pupils of Dakata Primary School, Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The learning materials, which include school bags, notebooks and pens, were presented to pupils to encourage academic excellence, boost their confidence and provide essential learning materials, particularly for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The intervention is part of a broader education initiative by the foundation to support school-age children through educational assistance, tutoring and a transformative tutoring curriculum designed to improve learning outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

The program’s expansion into northwestern Nigeria marks another step forward in the foundation’s efforts to reach the most vulnerable children and provide them with opportunities to learn, develop their skills and realize their educational aspirations.

The founder of the foundation, Oye-Adeniran, said the beneficiaries were selected through a process that recognized their academic achievement while taking into account pupils from disadvantaged families.

Adeniran added that the provision of school supplies would help alleviate some of the financial burdens on parents and guardians, while encouraging regular school attendance, active participation in the classroom and improved academic performance.

For many public school pupils, the inability to obtain basic learning materials remains a major challenge that can impact their confidence, participation and overall educational development.

Recognizing these challenges, the Sage Charity Foundation is promoting an integrated approach to education that combines material support with mentoring, teacher involvement, pupil participation, social inclusion and community involvement.
