The troops killed 23 terrorist suspects in Katsina

The “Yamma Fasan Operation” forces on Saturday killed 23 terrorist suspects in the state of Katsina.

They also saved 26 hostages in operations.

A source at the Nigerian Army headquarters in Abuja confirmed the news to journalists on Monday.

He said the troops made contact with terrorists in Pauwa Village in the Kankara Regional Government in the state of Katsina and, with the support of the air and artillery components, killing 23 terrorists.

The source said: “The troops rescued 23 people who were kidnapped, consisting of 12 women and 11 children. Motorbikes, spare parts, lubricants, agricultural machines, and food ingredients found from terrorists were destroyed.

“In the northeast, four members of the iswap terrorist family/two adult women and two gifs to the 192 battalion troops in the Gwoza regional government area in Borno.

“The troops captured the alleged supplier of terrorist logistics in the Kukawa Regional Government in Borno with his cellphone, watch, and 55,000.

“Five other suspects related to theft and peddling drugs were arrested during a raid in Muva Village in Adamawa.

“In a separate operation, Malumfashi’s operating forces in Katsina rescued three victims who were kidnapped in Shaiskawa Village, the Regional Government of Matazu, after involving terrorists in the shootout.

“Elsewhere, under the operation of Mesa, three alleged criminals are famous because the telephone seized around Dei-Dei, Dahun, and Zuba in the Federal Capital Region was captured with four smart cellphones and watches.”
