The troops refuse the Bustarella N13.7m, NAB 12 Suspicious Terror in the Plateau

The troops of the Nigerian army intercepted a bustarella of 13.7 million walnuts offered by suspicious terrorists in the state of the plateau and arrested 12 people during a series of operations throughout the center -sectan region.

The director of defense media operations, the main general Markus Kangye, revealed it during a media briefing on Thursday in Abuja, describing the action of soldiers as a performance of rare integrity and professionalism in the face of criminal inclusion.

Kangye explained that the troops were responding to a rescue call along Jos-Sanga Road in Plateau when they intercepted two suspicions that tried to escape into a vehicle full of bullets. After being stopped, according to what was reported, the suspicions tried to offer the sum of N13.7 million to avoid the arrest, but the troops rejected the bustarella and arrested them.

“During the research, the troops recovered money, weapons, ammunition and a vehicle. The suspicions are currently being interrogated and the recovered articles are in custody,” said Kangye.

He also revealed that the troops conducted offensive operations and responded to multiple rescue calls through Bassa, Barkin Ladi, South Wase, Riyom and Jos East Local Government areas of the State of the Plateau, as well as Kaura and Sangs Lgas in the State of Kaduna.

According to the defense spokesman, 12 suspicions were arrested, several terrorists were neutralized and three kidnapped victims were saved during the operations. The recovered articles included weapons, ammunition, motorcycles, vehicles and illegal drugs.

In a related operation, the staff of the Safe Haven operation arrested seven suspicious militias and criminals during patrols in the states of Barkin Ladi and Jos South of Plateau, and Wamba and Sangs Lgas of Nasarawa and Kaduna.

By praising the troops, Kangye said: “Their resilience and professionalism remain crucial in our effort to free the nation of criminal elements. We urge the public to support the safety agencies by reporting suspicious activities”.

He assured that the military remain engaged in transparency and timely updates while the operations continue in troubled areas.

“We cannot do it alone. The cooperation of the Nigerians, in particular the media, is essential to support our success,” added Kangye.

The arrest and refusal of Bustarella affirm safety analysts, demonstrate the growing discipline and responsibility in the ranks of the armed forces in the midst of the struggle of the nation against terrorism.
