12 killed in Israeli attack on Gaza school building

At least 12 people were killed and dozens more injured in an Israeli attack on a school building in Gaza City.

The Israeli army said in a statement on Tuesday that the Palestinian militant organization Hamas had hidden a command center at the site.

“Hamas terrorists use command and control centers to plan and carry out attacks,” he said.

The military claimed the attack was aimed at Israeli forces and the state of Israel.

“To protect civilians, precision munitions were used, and the area was surveyed from the air.

“The Hamas terrorist organization systematically violates international law and operates from civilian infrastructure and shelters in the Gaza Strip,” the military added.
