Bobrisky is absent as VeryDarkMan, Adeyanju, appears before Reps on bribery charges

Controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye Olanrewaju alias Bobrisky was conspicuously absent when social media activist, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, appeared before a House committee on Monday.

Parliament is investigating allegations of bribery leveled against agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) committed by Bobrisky.

Bobrisky, who was convicted of misusing the naira in April, in a video released by VDM accused EFCC agents of demanding N15 million to drop money laundering charges against him.

In the same video, the cross-dresser claimed that some officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) allowed him to serve his prison sentence at a private residence instead of a correctional facility after the money changed hands.

Due to the gravity of the allegations, the House of Representatives last Thursday decided to investigate the matter involving the two institutions and invited all parties to appear before a joint committee on Monday.

While VDM and his team were present, Bobrisky was nowhere to be seen at the NASS complex for a hearing held by the House Committee on Financial Crimes and Reform Institutions.

However, his lawyer appeared on his behalf.

When called to present his case in court, VeryDarkMan refused to give evidence due to Bobrisky’s absence.
