Actionaid requires a correct investigation into the accusations of Natasha against Akpabio

Director of the country of Actionaid Nigeria (AAN), Andrew MameduDu warned against the accusations raised by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Cnduaghan against the President of the Senate, Godwin Akpabioo

Reacting to the accusations by Natasha that he was intimidated by the president of the Senate for refusing his progress, Mamedu said: “So for us it is a case of such accusations.”

He asked that the right committee should be established to investigate the accusations.

He said: “So we can’t sweep it under the carpet. We cannot lie to it. It should not be victimized, but the accusations should be investigated.

“I’m not saying that he is right, but those accusations should be investigated. So there should be no power. So the presidency should not wear its power, or the leadership of the Senate can use its power to sweep it under the carpet.

“No. It should be studied. There is an ethical committee and privilege in the Senate, so they should take it and manage it independently.

“It shouldn’t be a victim. And if the crime must be true, then the sanction of rights should be satisfied. And if it is false, then the sanction of rights should be satisfied.

“And of course he said it, and it is difficult to demonstrate that it is the truth. But once again, we cannot sweep it under the carpet. We have to investigate and find out what happened. “
