‘The police team forcibly entered my cell, broke my hand, took me to another facility’, Sowore accused

The former candidate for the President of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general election, Omoyle Sowore, had told how the police team was allegedly by force entering the cell where he was, with a brutal he, broke his right hand and took him to other facilities at the Department of Intelligence Force in Abuja.

In a post that he shared in his X grip on Thursday, Sowore who was detained on Wednesday after he respected the invitation by the police after the petition written against him, said the incident occurred at dawn Thursday.

In the post, the Sahara journalist issuer revealed that the police team led by CSP from the Inspector General of the Police, the IGP Monitoring Unit, forcibly entered its detention cell and then took him to the unprupted location that claimed they took him to the court.

“This morning at 6 in the morning, a police team led by the Head of the Police Inspector from the IGP Monitoring Unit, forcibly entered the Omoyle Sowore cell at the Troop Intelligence Department in Abuja, claiming they took him to the court.

“The nine officers’ teams, including eight heavy armed personnel, handle Sowore roughly when he asked to see the accusation and told his lawyer, breaking his arms in the process, before bringing him to other police facilities. #Egbetokunmustgo.”
