NNPC Sacks Fuel Station Otapan in Lagos

Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Retail Limited has fired a pump officer for trying to deceive customers at its station in the Ikorodu area in the state of Lagos.

The company, in a statement on Friday, also confirmed the suspension of the station manager for the same reason.

The statement reads: “Our attention is on this new video circulating on a social media platform that depicts pump officers at the filling station trying to deceive customers.

“After the thorough investigation, the incident was traced to a station in Ikorodu, Lagos.

“NNPC Retail Limited wants to expressly state that the behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the company’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and extraordinary customer service.

“Responding to this incident, NNPC Retail Limited has taken the following determining action in line with the Sanctions Grid:

“The pump involved has been released. The station manager has been suspended.

“Formal warning letters have been issued for dealers.”
