Cyriel Desser completes the transfer to Panathinaikos from Rangers

The Super Eagles Cieriel Desser striker joined the Greek giants Panathinaikos from Rangers with a permanent agreement. The thirty year old, who will wear shirt n. 33, leaves the Scottish side of the Premiership after two successful seasons in Ibrox.

Desser scored more than 50 goals in over 100 appearances for the ranger, winning the League Cup and ending up as the top scorer of the League before sealing his move in Greece. Previously he had appeared in Serie A with Cremonese and had periods in Belgium with Genk and in the Netherlands with Feyenoord, Utrecht, Heracles and Nac Breda.

The Nigerian international is currently with the Super Eagles team for the qualifications of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and should make its debut in Panathinaikos after the international break.
