FRSC IMO COMMAND VISITS IIRS TO STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION IN IMO STATE

The Imo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) paid a courtesy visit to the Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) on Monday 29 June 2026.

Led by the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Nimota O. Okoro, the visit was aimed at introducing the Sector Commander following his deployment in April 2026 and aligning with key stakeholders in Imo State.

The Executive Chairman of the IIRS, Justice Okoye, welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the long-standing partnership of the IIRS with the FRSC, stressing that it has fostered an enabling environment for service delivery in the State. He assured the commander of a support mandate.

The President praised the FRSC staff working in the IIRS.
He expressed concern over the challenges encountered in collecting driving licenses and providing license plates and urged the Sector Commander to provide assistance to eliminate the challenges

In response, Commander Okoro said new technology-based systems have been implemented to streamline license processing and pledged to address all concerns.

Justice Okoye thanked the FRSC team and reiterated the commitment of the IIRS to support taxpayer-friendly structures. He also appreciated His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for the opportunity to serve and advance Imo’s revenue agenda.
