Chukwueze Join Iwobi, Bassey in Fulham by Loan

Super Eagles striker Samuel Chukwueze, has joined his national teammates Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey in Fulham when he lent loans from AC Milan.

Fulham, in a statement, said: “The club is happy to confirm the signing of Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan.

“He joined the loan status during the 2025/26 season, with an option to make a permanent transfer.

“A Nigerian international with Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, Chukwueze will wear shirt number 19.

“A strong and fast player who excels in a one-v-one situation, Chukwueze is a left-footed player who mainly operates on the right, but has the experience of playing on both sides.

“After coming through the Diamond Football Academy in his homeland, Chukwueze moved to Europe in 2017 when Villarreal came to call.”

“He made a senior debut for the club in a 3-3 draw with Spartak Moscow in the European League in October 2018, scored his first senior goal the following month in the Copa del Rey tie.

“Chukwueze became a regular from that point, and was a key component in success that followed Villarreal, which won the European League in 2021, and reached the Champions League semifinals a year later.

“After 37 goals and 29 assists in 207 matches for yellow submarines, his form attracted the attention of Italian giant AC Milan, who agreed to the agreement reportedly € 28 million to bring it to Serie A.”

Chukwueze made his debut for Nigeria in 2018 at only 19, and now has seven goals and 46 hats on his name.
