The agents of the Lagos State Police Command arrested a 60 -year -old man for presumably raping a 24 -year -old woman.

The command spokesperson, the CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the accident in a statement made on Monday in Lagos.

He said the crime took place on August 22 in the state of the Meiran of the state.

According to him, the victim’s sister reported the matter to Meira’s police station, after which the same day was transferred to the gender unit of the command for discreet investigations.

The spokesman said that the investigations revealed that the suspicion doped the survivor before raping it without his consent.

“The suspicion also made a confessional declaration in this sense,” said Hundeyin.

The police spokesman added that the state police commissioner, Olohundere Jimoh, has undertaken to guarantee justice for survivors to sexual crimes and has ensured all residents of their security.
