EFCC arrests 24 suspected internet fraudsters in Edo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 24 suspected internet fraudsters in Edo State.

EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Mr. Dele Oyewale, confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said the suspects were arrested on Wednesday in Benin City based on actionable intelligence information regarding their involvement in internet-related fraud.

“Items confiscated from the suspects included 11 luxury cars, laptops and mobile phones.

“They will be charged to court once investigations are completed,” Oyewale added.
