EFCC captures 12 Operators of Illegal Bureau Change in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has arrested 12 alleged operators of the illegal de change (BDC) bureau in Lagos.

The head of the media and publicist of the commission, Dele Oyewale, revealed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

He said the suspects were arrested on Wednesday after intelligence about their activities.

He added that the suspects operated BDC without the necessary licenses.

“Items that are restored from them include cash and exotic jewelry.

“The suspects are currently being investigated and will soon be charged in court,” Oyewale added.
