FG to reveal N50m Roommm Grant for Student Innovation – Thage

The Federal Government has announced the intention of revealing a subsidy of N50 million N50 million students of venture capital (S-VCG) to support innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development between scientific, technological students, engineering, mathematics and medical sciences (Spa).

A statement signed on Friday by Mrs. Folasade Boriowo, director of the press and public relations, the Ministry of Education, said the The initiative will be formally presented in August by the Minister of Education, dr. Tunji Alausa.

He explained that the S-VCG was designed to enhance full-time university students in tertiary institutions, in particular those of 300 levels and in addition to building scalable initiatives and creating jobs.

Citing the minister during a recent commitment of the interested parties, Alausa said that the grant represents a strategic investment in the economy of knowledge of Nigeria. Him He added that the initiative aims to provide students with tools to develop practical solutions in sectors such as technology, medicine, agriculture and green energy.

Each project of selected students will be entitled to receive startup funding up to 50 million n50 million, together with tutoring access, incubation services and business development support.

The program will be implemented in partnership with the Bank of Industry (BOI) to ensure transparency, impact assessment and effective delivery of the project.

Alausa observed that the initiative aligns with the renewed agenda of the hope of President Bola Tinubu, which gives priority to inclusive education, the strengthening of young people and to sustainable development.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to guarantee an inclusive implementation and rigorous monitoring to guarantee a measurable and lasting impact in the Nigeria higher education institutions.
