The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched its campaign board for the 2027 general elections, with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode assigned to key positions.
The campaign structure was announced on Thursday via the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Center as the party began preparations for the 2027 elections.
Under the advisory arrangement, Prince Tajudeen Olusi was appointed as Chairman of the Government Advisory Council, while Sanwo-Olu was listed as Chairman of the Advisory Council.
Fashola and Ambode will serve as Co-Chairs of the advisory structure.
The advisory body also includes President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and former Minister of Health, Adeleke Mamora.

At the main campaign council level, Sanwo-Olu is listed as Chairman, with Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat serving as Deputy Chairman.
The board further appointed Ojelabi Cornelius as Deputy Chair I, Mudashiru Obasa as Deputy Chair II and Damilola Sonayon James as Deputy Chair III.
Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has been appointed as Director General of the campaign council, while Rasaq Ajala will serve as Deputy Director General. Adekunle Olayinka is listed as Campaign Secretary.
The campaign structure is divided into several directorates and sub-committees, with responsibilities covering legal and compliance issues, party and inter-party affairs, administration and logistics, traditional institutions, diaspora engagement, and citizens’ associations.
Among the directorates listed in the released structure are the Legal and Compliance Directorate, the Party and Inter-Party Affairs Directorate, the Secretariat Administration and Logistics Directorate, as well as the Finance and Fundraising and ICT directorates.
This structure also provides grassroots coordination across local government areas and local council development areas in Lagos State.
The official inauguration of the campaign council is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, Lagos.
The inauguration marks the official formation of the party’s campaign machinery in Lagos ahead of the 2027 general elections.
