Legendary former Manchester United FC manager Alex Ferguson was taken to hospital from Old Trafford on Sunday after feeling unwell before the club’s Premier League match against Liverpool FC
The 84-year-old reportedly left Old Trafford around an hour before kick-off, with his hospital visit described as a precautionary measure.
Despite concerns over the sudden development, reports indicate that the move was taken to ensure his well-being and that he is expected to recover soon.
Ferguson, who remains a regular presence at Manchester United matches, previously underwent emergency surgery in 2018 following a life-threatening brain haemorrhage, from which he made a full recovery.
There is no indication that the latest incident is related.
The former manager has also faced personal challenges in recent years, including the death of his wife, Lady Cathy, in 2023.
Despite changes to his formal role at the club following the arrival of INEOS and Jim Ratcliffe, Ferguson continues to maintain close links with Manchester United.
