Prof. Yakubu says that technology, the excellence of the service remain the golden word of the inac

Abuja (basic reporter) The president of the Independent National Commission (INC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, said that the excellence of technology and service will remain at the center of his operations, ensuring that every Nigerian experience with the electoral organ is without continuity, transparent and dignified.

Yakubu made the declaration on Monday 6 October, during the commemoration of the 2025 edition of the “Week of Global Customer Service” at the headquarters of the Commission in Abuja.

This year on the themed of the annual week of global customer service is “possible mission”.

The Incen garment has described excellent customer service such as the spine of democratic trust, underlining that for a sensitive institution such as the INCC, the experience of citizens is not only a courtesy, it is a constitutional duty.

“Customer service in the public sector is not a luxury but a duty,” said Yakubu. “The INNC will continue to build systems that make the interaction of each Nigerian with us smooth, respectful and rewarding.”

The celebration of the Commission was focused on compliance with the “5 RS of customer service”, reactivity, responsibility, resolution and relationships with the premiums presented to the staff who showed innovation and dedication to the involvement of voters and the excellence of the service.

Previously, Mrs. Ngozi Akinbodewa, head of operations at Servicom (presidency), praised Incen for having set the rhythm for other public institutions.

“This is the first customer service event for the MDA this year and I inec raised the bar,” said Akinbodewa. “The excellence of the service is transforming the impossible into possible and Iner has shown that through the technology, transparency and commitment of the interested parties”.

He said that the theme of this year, “Mission Possible”, rightly captures the push of the Inc to transform the electoral challenges into innovations for the benefit of people from the improvement of the access of the voters to the transmission of results in real time.

“One day soon, the Nigerians will see the electoral results transmitted live, this is our definition of possible mission,” he announced, unleashing applause from the public.

Akinbodewa also highlighted the symbolism of the colors of the week, water green (patience), white (transparency) and red (passion)

In his closing observations, Professor Yakubu applauded the staff of the Commission for their dedication to the excellence of the service, promising to support reforms that make the more transparent, efficient and voter electoral process.

“We will not hide in our efforts to make the electoral process more transparent and focused on citizens,” he said. “Each Nigerian deserves respect, trust and excellence in their interaction with the Ill.”

In the meantime, Professor Yakubu has been honored with a leadership prize for his visionary transformation of Incen into an electricity plant led by technology, which redefines the provision of democratic services in Africa.
