Na Troops Riserre 17 victims kidnapped in the state of Kogi
Lokoja (basic reporter) in an effort supported to get rid of the bandits and other criminal activities in the state of Kogi, the gallant troops of 12 Nigerian brigadier armies in collaboration with hybrid and local supervisors have successfully saved 17 victims of kidnapping, including 13 adults and 4 children.

This was contained in a declaration of the deputy director of the army of the Brigadier Brigade Army, Lieutenant Hassan Abdullahi on Thursday.
According to the declaration, the accident occurred on Wednesday 10 September 2025, when the troops deployed at the base of apatious patrol received the credible intelligence of a kidnapping accident in the village of Opamaru long Obajana – Lokoja. The victims, who traveled in a 17 -seater bus to the state of Osun and headed towards Abuja, were intercepted by the criminals before the troops intervened quickly. Without delay, the patrol base strengthened by the quick response group of the brigade (QRG) was immediately mobilized on the scene.

“Upon arrival, the troops discovered a 17 -seater bus abandoned by the roadside, completely empty. Abovered by the upper fire power of the troops, the criminals abandoned all 17 passengers kidnapped and fled to the bush with various degrees of firearm wounds. The saved victims were immediately evacuated to the Brigade medical center for emergency room and stabilization.
In the meantime, the Nigerian army reassures the general public of its commitment to safeguard lives and properties, at the same time urging citizens to continue supporting the military with timely information to help the current operations.
