Troops kill eight suspected bandits in Kaduna

Nigerian Army troops on Thursday killed eight suspected bandits during a combat patrol in Birnin Gwari local government area of ​​Kaduna State.

The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this in a statement in Kaduna.

He said the troops recovered three AK-47 rifles, eight AK-47 magazines, one magazine holder, six motorcycles, three mobile phones, two Baofeng radio sets and three pairs of civilian clothes during the operation which took place in Kampanin Doka area of ​​Birnin Gwari LGA.

The commissioner added that troops were engaged in battle with bandits around Gayam area and many criminals escaped with gunshot wounds.
