Osimhen will join Galatasaray on loan

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have reached an agreement with Napoli for the loan of Victor Osimhen.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Nigerian international will spend the entire 2024/25 season with the Turkish giants.

Galatasaray will cover the striker’s entire salary until the end of the season.

The loan deal agreed with Napoli does not include a purchase option and an obligation clause.

“Galatasaray have reached an agreement in principle with Napoli over a loan deal for Victor Osimhen,” wrote Romano on X.

“One year loan, salary covered because Napoli have accepted these terms.

“A Gala delegation will meet with Osimhen in Naples in the next few hours to get the final green light for the move.”

The 25-year-old will be reunited with former Partenopei team-mate Dries Mertens in Istanbul.

Although Osimhen wants a Champions League team, he will still be able to compete in the Europa League with Galatasaray, who will face Tottenham Hotspur and Ajax in the tournament.
